Spain is basically heaven on earth, with its breathtaking scenery, ancient traditions, and super welcoming locals. It’s got everything from beach resorts to mountain spots and places with loads of history and culture. This cool mix makes Spain the world’s third most popular tourist spot, right after the US and France. People buy properties in Spain for all sorts of reasons – some for personal use, others to make some cash by renting them out to tourists.

A bunch of things shape Spain’s housing market, but where the property is located matters the most. If you’re looking at the southern and central Mediterranean coasts, like Costa del Sol, Costa Blanca, and Costa Dorada, you’ll find the prices pretty reasonable. But head up to the northern coast, like Costa Brava or the Balearic Islands, and things get pricier and more exclusive. There are exceptions though, like Marbella and Puerto Banus in Costa del Sol, where prices are up there. The kind of property you’re looking at also makes a difference in price. A small flat can be way cheaper than a fancy medium-sized villa.

You can snag a basic studio for around 30,000 to 50,000 euros, but a big luxury villa might set you back about 1.5 million. There’s a bunch of stuff in the middle price-wise, with apartments and houses varying based on location, size, and perks like bedrooms, bathrooms, terraces, and layouts.

Other stuff that affects how much a place costs includes having a pool, parking, fun facilities, and being close to things like airports, highways, beaches, and golf clubs. How well-kept the nearby areas are also counts. So, prices can be all over the place. For example, a two or three-bedroom apartment with a pool and all the modern stuff might cost between 40,000 and 150,000 euros.
